ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS

There is a demand from natural therapists and other professional and para-professional workers in the health  industry for training programs in Vibrational Therapies and Metaphysics.

Therefore, the Academies have developed two  new government accredited qualifications to meet these needs. These two qualifications, 30339QLD Certificate IV in Vibrational Therapies and 30340QLD Diploma of Metaphysics allow the Academies to offer nationally recognised training, with a number of areas within the natural therapies field.

These are specifically designed to meet the current needs of natural therapists and practitioners with the aim of

 •     extending existing knowledge and skills base of practitioners in human services industry

preparing potential therapists to undertake duties in a natural vibrational therapies practice

§         providing students with the foundation knowledge and skills to further their education in the natural vibrational therapies industry The national competencies and also the enterprise competencies which are included in the courses will provide students with the opportunity to apply for credit or recognition of prior learning in other qualifications.  Those students who are engaged in working in the industry, or have gained skills and knowledge through their workplace or through other life experiences may also apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) and be assessed for entry into these courses .

Each of these qualifications contains a number of competencies, which make up the qualifications.  The competencies which are contained in the above nationally recognised and government accredited qualifications are designed to be studied in a flexible mode, through workshops with some time for home study and work either in the workplace, or in a simulated situation.

Both qualifications are aimed to provide students with significant skills, expertise and techniques to ensure they have the opportunity to become highly professional and qualified therapists/practitioners in the field in which you they are undertaking.

Some of the competencies undertaken will be beneficial in their own right.   However, once all assessment for any single or clustered competencies is completed, they will contribute to the final award, whether the student is studying the 30339QLD CERTIFICATE IV IN VIBRATIONAL THERAPIES or the 30340QLD DIPLOMA OF METAPHYSICS.

What is a unit of competency?

A unit of competency is like a subject or unit of study.  It is made up of elements and their associated performance criteria.

How will I study the qualifications?

This Assessment and Study Guide is to be used in conjunction with learning guides, handouts, manuals and other material supplied by the Academies when you attend your workshops.   The Director of the Academies will guide you through your 30339QLD CERTIFICATE IV IN VIBRATIONAL THERAPIES or your 30340QLD DIPLOMA OF METAPHYSICS.

The courses will be offered at the premises of Weinberger Holdings Pty. Ltd, Queensland with external offering in appropriate competencies a future possibility.

Coursework will consist of lectures, tutorials, assignment and project work, practical demonstrations using human models, with significant emphasis on experiential learning.

The nature of these courses is such that the emphasis is placed on practical application. It is therefore essential that the human and physical resources required for successful completion of the courses are readily available and easily accessed by students.

The theoretical aspects of the courses are offered by a specialist teacher who also provides tutorials where indicated.

The courses have been strategically designed to ensure that the foundation studies have prepared students for the practical application of their knowledge in a professional environment.

Some students will attend supervised hours for the competency they are undertaking, and will be studying in a practical area relating to that competency for unsupervised hours as shown in the course structure.

The International Academy has a philosophy, which provide you with quality training and assessment.  We are committed to assisting you in furthering your career and reaching your goals. Your lecturers are highly qualified and have had extensive experience in the industry of natural and complementary therapies, and are here to support you in your study.

INTENSIVE LETTER TO STUDENTS

In response to many requests, the Academy has now developed a program to assist people in attending workshops which will help them to graduate in either the 30339QLD CERTIFICATE IV IN VIBRATIONAL THERAPIES or the 30340QLD DIPLOMA OF METAPHYSICS (Reiki and Crystals).
Both courses are government accredited training courses, offering recognition throughout Australia, and meet the high standards set down in the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF).

As Natural Therapies become more and more regulated, so does the educational aspect of the profession, and it was in response to this positive move forward that the Academy took the initiative and created the first and only qualification of this kind in Australia. Both courses have a diversity of subjects, the combination of which are not offered in any other government accredited course nationwide.

Intensive workshops for the 30340QLD DIPLOMA OF METAPHYSICS will be held from the 5th to 21st May 2006 and Melbourne June 26th to 12th July 2006, and are designed as intensive workshops, with the flexibility of home study. These subjects take in the Certificate 1V & Diploma. In other words, you can attend the workshops of your choice for intensive learning, and then finish your learning and assessment when you return to your home completing your studies, case studies and research at your own pace. The programs offer you two options at the Diploma level, you can choose to either complete the Diploma as a Reiki Master or alternatively, as a Crystal Therapist. You will see these options set out in the attached program. However, you will be required to take the Reiki II subject at a later date, because the body needs to integrate the Universal energy of Reiki I, which can take up to three months

Students attending from interstate can also access our arrangements for accommodation which is in very close proximity to the Academy. We have a host family who offers accommodation and, if required, meals at a very reasonable rate. (See website or please phone Sue and Jim Vourlides on 07 5504 6002 or Mobile 0413 565 309).

Attached is a program showing the subjects which will be offered, the dates and cost of each cluster of subjects. The subjects have been clustered so that you will have an integrated approach to the skills and techniques you will be learning. You may choose to study all the subjects offered, or alternatively, you may choose to take only some of the beginner subjects, with the option of completing at a later date. By clustering these subjects, we are able to offer you very special prices which will make this cost effective for you, especially those who travel long distances.

An $80 deposit is required for each subject taken

You will be provided with Student Manuals to complete the subjects. In addition, you will be able to purchase Dianne’s textbook “Ancient Healing Arts Revisited” which is a most comprehensive guide to all the therapy subjects you will be completing. In the Business subjects, you will also be required to purchase a textbook “The Business of Healing. You will need to bring pen and note book

While you are attending the workshops, you will be guided through the therapies you are learning, and will be shown how to complete your assessments, either during the workshop time, or when you return home. You can then forward your completed assessments to the Academy for marking and to gain your results. If you need any support or help, the Academy will be here to mentor and guide you through your home study, case studies and assessment.

If you have already completed some subjects with the Academy, you will be able to gain credit for these. Also, if you believe you are able to apply for recognition of prior learning for any subjects, please contact the Academy and we will forward you an application form so that you can assess your experience and previous qualifications.

Dianne Weinberger
