Take with you, sun hat, sunglasses, umbrella, Imodium (I haven't lost a person yet to Pharaohs revenge), sun cream, comfortable walking shoes and sandals. Wet wipes and insect repellent, long sleeve white shirt as the sun can be very hot especial in the Valley of the Kings, cotton clothes are very comfortable. It is polite for ladies to dress with respect especially in Cairo, as this is a Moslem country (it is all right on the cruise and hotels). The weather is hot this time of the year but everything is air-conditioned, also there is no humidity so the heat is bearable.

On the cruise there is a Galabeyya party where everyone dresses in Egyptian clothes and there is usually a show, so you may like to take something; or you can buy some fun clothes there. Travel insurance: It is recommended that you take out full insurance cover for health, travel cancellation, documents lost and emergency assistance. Day 1: Arrive Cairo where you will be met at the airport and assisted through passport control, transferred to Mena House Hotel

Day 2: Tour of Memphis and Sakkara with Egyptologist. Memphis the ancient capital of Egypt, this is where the Pharaoh Mena united Upper and Lower Egypt and established the first dynasty. A huge Statue of Ramses 11 lies here.Sakkara: This is where Imhotep built the Step Pyramid, supposedly the first large-scale structure in history.

Day 3: After breakfast Visit the Pyramids and the Egyptian Musuem

 Day 4: Breakfast flight from Cairo to Aswan and transfer to the New Cataract hotel Abu Simbel (This is optional trip cost $170 US) the most spectacular monument of Rames 11 and his Queen Nefertari. This colossal structure was designed to capture the rays of the sun twice a year, to illuminate the seated figure of the Pharaoh inside the sanctuary. Return flight to Aswan:

1: night at the New Cataract Hotel. This is where Agatha Christie wrote Death on the Nile.

Day 5: 4 night cruise on the Movnepick Boat includes: Full board, accompanying Egyptologist; monument entrance fees and taxes to all temples. Lunch on board, In the afternoon take a felucca ride passing by Kitchener's Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Afternoon tea, dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Day 6: After breakfast, visit the high dam, old dam, Temple of Philae located on an island and is dedicated to the Goddess Isis. Visit the unfinished obelisk, which was abandoned by ancient stone cutters. Lunch on board, afternoon tea, dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

Day 7: Sail to Kom Ombo, arrive and visit the temple of Sobek, whose sacred animal was the crocodile. Sail to Edfu: Temple dedicated to Horus. lunch on board, arrival Edfu and visit the great temple of Horus, sail to Esna, visit the temple of Esna, Sail to Luxor,

Day 8: Luxor: Breakfast, Visit Luxor and Karnak Temples valley of the Kings and Queens, The temple of Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari visit the colossi of Memnon, Lunch and Dinner on Board and Overnight in Luxor

Day 9: Breakfast, transfere to New Winter Palace Hotel.visit the temple of Dendra. Since the time of the Old Kingdom, it has been revered as a centre of the Goddess Hathor. Dendra is one of the most powerful energy centres then on to Abydos The holy city dedicated to Osiris and the temple of Seti 1. The temple contains some of the finest relief carvings

Day10: Breakfast and transfer to fly back to Cairo.

Day 11: Breakfast. Optional day trip to Alexandria. Cost $60 US p/p

Day 12: Day of leisure to enjoy Cairo. Private air-conditioned coach for those that wish to shop. Traditional Egyptian dinner at home with Gouda and Dianne.

Day13: departure home.
